Finished Doll!

I can't say enough about the beautiful job Mz Jan Brown did in creating our art doll from our contributions, but hopefully you can! I was literally gobsmacked by what an amazing job Jan did! If it wasn't for every one's beautiful contributions she definitely wouldn't exist!

She is on her way to the publishers to have her photo shoot and next time we post it will be announcing the raffle but meanwhile do some gawking at the photo album!

She's amazing! I can't imagine how many hours it must have taken for Jan to create her. I know it was mentioned on the blog that the skirt would have three tiers of ties, but I still didn't realize how large the finished doll would be. Such a beautiful showcase for all the artwork that was contributed! Thank you, Jan!

Jan, the passion that you put into this most stunning collaboration is captivatingly inspiring and full of hope. Working with so many elements that you had at your disposal and being able to have the vision to pull them all together in this truly breathtaking piece is a thing of true beauty! The most touching thing is just last night on the eve of my mothers surgery for a double mastectomy ( this coming Tuesday) with chemo to follow my daughter and her were working out how my mother will wrap her head. so to awake this morning and see my tie on the head of this captivating proud woman is a bright light of joy that my mother and many like her will be survivors! Thank you all for the time and efforts put into to this collaborative project. Many hands really do make a difference!

Jan, the doll is incredible! There are no words to describe the feelings I have seeing her. She stands so proudly wearing these beautiful ties and charms that stand for so much. I have chills going through me as I see each charm and tie so lovingly made honoring courageous women in this fight and in remembrance for those that have fought the good fight and lost the battle. I know my dear friends are smiling down on her!
As a survivor of this cancer, I must tell you I am so proud of this project. The women it will touch through the article and book will be far reaching. Thank you to everyone involved with this project. So much work has to have been done by so many and I say Bravo! to you all! Linda

Amazing, especially when you consider the size and scale of the doll and the amount of materials sent in.

Very proud to be a part of this and congratulations to Jan for pulling it together into such a cohesive piece.

And congrats to all the artists who contributed their art to it. It's such a meaningful work of art.
What book will this be published in? I hadn't heard anything about this project, so I'm rather clueless. Sorry, maybe someone can fill me in?
